GIDEON: Ten Traits of Toxic Angry People
Oct 5, 2025 • Anthony Does
Much of the anger and violence in Judges comes from human motives: vengeance, pride, power struggles, and greed. Leaders like Gideon act out of personal grudges, not always out of faithfulness to God. This pattern shows how, in the absence of moral direction, unchecked anger leads to civil war, atrocities, and social breakdown.
Pastor Anthony Does explains how anger is a messenger, it points to something deeper, hurt, fear, unmet expectations, instead of being something to suppress or explode, anger invites us to investigate what's lying beneath. It asks the question what boundary was crossed, what value was violated, what need went unmet. This message is for anyone who struggles with anger issues or knows someone who does.
