COVID-19 Update – July

Dear Bethany Family, at this time we are holding in-church worship services. These are the procedures to be followed for in-person services:

How do I register for church services?

Yes, under Stage 3 guidelines our capacity number has increased greatly…but, please continue to register!!  We don’t want you to arrive and be disappointed that you will not be admitted into the service.

Everyone, except those serving as a volunteer for the day, must contact the office weekly to register. Spots are saved on a first come, first reserved basis. If we are full, we will put your name onto the list for the following Sunday.

If you are uncertain about whether or not you will be able to attend, please do not reserve a spot until you are certain.

Registrations must be received NO LATER than noon on Wednesday of the week before the service you are registering to attend.

The Covid Screening Questionnaire must be completed FOR EACH member of your household who will be attending service and brought with you to the service. To be effective, the best time to fill out the questionnaire is the morning you will be attending service and the name of the person attending service must be filled in. A copy of our family questionnaire is available at this link: https://bethanyemc.ca/wp-content/uploads/Family_Screening_checklist_for_entrance_003.pdf

A copy of our single’s questionnaire is available at this link: https://bethanyemc.ca/wp-content/uploads/Single_Screening_checklist_for_entrance_003.pdf

For those with no internet service, copies of the questionnaire will be sent with the weekly mailing. At all times, we will have copies available at the church.

Questionnaires will be kept on file for a period of time to assist with contact tracing if a church attendee tests Covid positive.

Familiarize yourself and family with what to expect as you return to services. View our start up video here: https://youtu.be/h97pi2GGEYI

Volunteers and signage will assist you with entering, flow and exiting the church building.

Worship

We will continue to provide online Sunday worship, even when we have returned to in person services.

Service time – 10:00am – 11:00am

The great news in this uncertain time is that God is reaching millions more people around the world who would not have stepped foot in a church. PTL as these are exciting days!

We realize there are a few different methods our church Family uses to do this.  Please visit our web site www.bethanyemc.ca , click on the “How to Give” button for further details and choose a method that works best for you.

  • E-Transfer
  • Online Donations
  • Mail or in Person – the church is now closed but you can drop your cheque (No cash please) in the mail drop located to the left of the parking lot side door entrance

God Bless!

Be Encouraged – A Final Word from Pastor Anthony

Jesus is the King, Not Corona. Although the coronavirus receives its name from the many crowns it displays. It is a false king.

In listening prayer, I heard. “Remember what I have done not what the enemy is doing.” If ever there was a time to discern and apply the finished work of Christ Jesus it is now. His cross has the final word in these matters. Jesus Christ is still Lord.

In Acts 4:29-30 (NLT) “And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

When the early church was threatened with extinction through persecution they “remembered” who was really the King. Not Caesar but Christ. Not Corona but Christ. As you remember Him today it will shift your focus off of Covid-19 and onto the King of kings!

Yours in His faithful hold,
Pastor A.
